The Marine Stadium Basin is a world class triathlon site. For the last three years, we have been working with Miami Tri Events, a major triathlon promoter wthich has pioneered triathlons at the Marine Stadium. They understand the importance of a restored Stadium and we are pleased to have their support.

The letter is from Stephanie Meeks, President of The National Trust. The National Trust for Historic Preservation has been an important soucre of support for the Marine Stadium, through inclusion on the Trust's "11 Most Endangered" list in 2009 and grants for an engineering study and the Floating Stage Design Contest. Recently, the Trust named the Marine Stadium to its list of National Treasures, which means that the Stadium is now in line for additional support to move the project forward.

Recently,the National Trust for Historic Preservation created the "National Treasures" program to place emphasis on a limited number of historic sites in the United States. The Marine Stadum has made the first round of selections to the National Treasures list. This video features four sites nationwide-includirng the Marine Stadium.

On April 28, 2009, the National Trust designated the Marine Stadium as one of "11 Endangered Historic Places" in the United States.
