This brief video shows the Floating Stage Design Contest Awards Ceremony, which was held on May 2, 2011. 175 people attended the event and all 90 entries were displayed. The evening featured presentations by Hilario Candela, architect of the Marine Stadium, Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado, keynote spaeker Frank E. Sanchis III, DIrector of U.S. Programs for the World Monuments Fund, and Joachim Perez, Executive Director of DawnTown, the group that administered the contest. It was a terrific evening!

On July 11, the Graeter Miami Chamber of Commerce visited the Miami Marine Stadium. The timing was terrific-earler that afternoon, the Miami City Commission had approved the Marine Stadium site plan, allowing the project to move forward. This short video, which includes interviews with Hilario Candela, Jorge Hernandez, Rosemary Ravinal and SPencer Crowley, feels more like a celebration.
