Contact City of Miami Commissioners
Elected in November, 2009, Mayor Tomas Regalado is a strong supporter of the initiative to restore the Miami Marine Stadium. He needs our help as we need the support of the City Commission. Please Write to the Commission! If citizens make a case of overwhelming public support for renovation of the Stadium, we can make it happen. Your support is making a difference. In July, 2010, the City of Miami Commission approved the Virginia Key Master Plan, with the Marine Stadium as its centerpiece. While we are not "asking" for anything from the Commission at this time (January, 2011), it is always good for them to hear from supporters of Friends of Marine Stadium.

Download An Application - Since winter of 2008, all of the work of Friends of Miami Marine Stadium has been done by volunteers and overhead is minimal. Going forward, as the orginaziation evolves to guide the restoration of the Marine Stadium, more money will be needed. Your contribution-which is tax deductible-is very important to us!
Record Your Memories of Marine Stadium
Since May of 2009, we have been working with Girl Scout Hannah Imberman on a book of memories of the Marine Stadium to be called IF SEATS COULD TALK. We have over 90 stories so far and we hope to publish the book in late 2011/early 2012. If you had some great times at the Stadium please contact Hannah at ifseatscouldtalk@gmail.com You can write up your memory and send it to her (a couple of paragraphs is fine or we you can tell it to us and we can transcribe it for you!

Marine Stadium Named to World Monuments Fund 2010 Watch List
The Marine Stadium has been named to the World Monuments Fund 2010 Watch List along with other sites such as Macchu Picchu and the Center Cities of Buenos Aires and Old Jerusalem.
