As of December, 2011, we had made presentations about the Marine Stadium to seven Rotary Clubs, four Chambers of Commerce, and other business organizations. The Marine Stadium always gets a great response. We look forward to working with the Miami Beach Chamber-and the many other business organizations we work with-to make the Marine Staidum a real economic asset to our community.

The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO) is Miami's flagship professional orchestra. Tho organization enthusiastically supports the restoration of the Miami Marine Stadium and envisions doing a concert series at the Stadium.

Joseph King, Executive Director, AMIKIDS
AMIKIDS Miami Dade is a not for profit organization dedicated to providing our community's troubled youth with a promising future. The program, which oriented to 14-19 years olds, has an extremely high 80% success rate. AMIKIDS has a branch located on Virginia Key near to the Stadium. Friends of Miami Marine Stadium looks forward to working with AMIKIDS on area cleanups, restoration projects, and unofficial sea grass surveys. The Marine Stadium Basin is a world class triathlon site. For the last three years, we have been working with Miami Tri Events, a major triathlon promoter wthich has pioneered triathlons at the Marine Stadium. We've gotten terrific support from Yacht Clubs-and it is not surprising. In the past, attending events at the Marine Stadium was one of the best reasons to own a boat in the Miami area. We made a presentation to a monthly meeting of the Matheson Hammock Yacht Club-and got a very enthusiastic response from the members.

The CSM Group hosts major fishing tournaments that are major events for the host communities. They contacted us because of their interest in the Marine Stadium. They would like to use the Stadium to host concerts-both for the boats participating in the fishing tournament and people in the stands. This would create a remarkable and high profile event.
CSM is one of the 28 promoters and event organizations that we have talked with who would like to use the Marine Stadium.

Miami City Commission Resolution
On December 10, 2009 the Miami City Commission unanimously approved a resolution to work with Friends of Marine Stadium/Dade Heritage Trust and seek Federal and State Grants to restore the Marine Stadium. The resolution was proposed my Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado, who has made the restoration of the Marine Stadium a key priority of his administration. We are grateful for the unanimous support of the City Commission and the leadership of Mayor Regalado.

Swim Miami
Swim Miami is an example of another event that can be held at the Marine Stadium. It is an open water swim that has actually been held at the Stadium. Since 2005, the event has grown from 145 swimmers to 2,000 swimmers expected for 2010. The event is sponsored by Nike Swim, a Division of Perry Ellis and is evolving into a Festival. Open water swimming is one of the fastest growing Olympic sports and Swim Miami is one of the top twenty open water swimming events in the world.
Hialeah City Council Resolution Supporting Marine Stadium
Attached is a Resolution from the Hialeah City Council supporting the efforts of Friends of Marine Stadium and Dade Heritage Trust to restore the Stadium. Hialeah has demonstrated leadership in historic preservation through their efforts to restore Hialeah park. We very much appreciate the leadership of Mayor Julio Robaina on this issue.
