Our first public event was a "Shindig" at the Miami Rowing Club to Benefit the Stadium. he event was a joint event with Team Row and was organized by Julio Viyella. Attendees took tours of the Stadium by Chinese Dragon Boat and Hilario Candela, architect of the Stadium made a presentation.

The event was a sell out-and a smashing success!

Docomomo is an international organization which promotes the study, interpretation and protection of architecture, urban design and landscape architecture of the modern movement. Docomomo has chapters or working groups in 54 countries and is highly regarded in the architecture and design community. This letter is from the Florida Chapter, and through their efforts, word has quickly spread to Docomomo's national and international affiliates.
